Senate Bill No. 1017

AN ACT concerning

Circuit Court Clerks - Workweek

FOR the purpose of establishing a minimum workweek for
certain deputies and employees of the offices of the
clerks of the circuit courts; and defining a term.

BY adding to

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

Section 2-505.1

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1980 Replacement Volume and 1981 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

2-505.1.

THE MINIMUM HOURS OF WORK IN EACH WEEK FOR FULL-TIME
DEPUTIES AND EMPLOYEES OF THE OFFICES OF CLERKS OF THE
CIRCUIT COURTS ARE 35 1/2 HOURS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, as used in
this Act, "Circuit Court" includes the respective courts of
the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City and the circuit court
for any other county.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.
