Senate Bill No. 643

AN ACT concerning

Harford County - Liquor Control Board

FOR the purpose of removing Harford County from the list of
those counties in which the liquor control board is
declared to be a State agency; providing for the
minimum age under which a person may be employed to
sell or serve alcoholic beverages in Harford County;
and clarifying language.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 126(e) and 153

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1981 Replacement Volume and 1981 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of. Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

126.

(e) In Harford County it is unlawful for any licensee
under this article to employ any person under [the legal
drinking] 18 YEARS OF age for the purposes of selling or
serving alcoholic beverages.

153.

In Garrett [and Harford counties] COUNTY, the liquor
control board is [hereby] declared to be a State agency to
administer the provisions of this article applicable to
[each of these counties, respectively] THAT COUNTY, and as
such is clothed with discretionary powers, in granting,
refusing, revoking or suspending licenses for the sale of
alcoholic beverages, within the limits prescribed under this
article..

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.
