Preamble

WHEREAS, the Lida Lee Tall School has educated students
since 1866 and was established as a model elementary school
in 1933; and

WHEREAS, the Lida Lee Tall School is being continued in
order to serve as a learning resource center; and

WHEREAS, the State does not have a learning resource
center independent of an institution of higher education;
and

THEREFORE, The Lida Lee Tall Learning Resource Center
is placed, at the outset, under the Education Coordinating
Committee, and the General Assembly expects a review which
will propose a permanent governance structure by January 1,
1984; now, therefore,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED. BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:
