AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Dealer - Definition

FOR the purpose of altering the number of vehicles that a

person must sell during a certain length of time for
the person to be considered a dealer definition of
vehicle dealer.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article - Transportation

11-111.

"Dealer" means a person who is in the business of
buying, selling, or exchanging vehicles including a person
who during any 12-month period sells OFFERS TO SELL
[five] 3 or more vehicles, the ownership of which was
acquired for resale purposes.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.
