4746                                      LAWS OF MARYLAND                                    Ch. 867

(A) IN THIS SECTION, "DAY VOCATIONAL PLACEMENT" MEANS
A COMMUNITY BASED JOB WORK TRAINING PROGRAM THAT:

(1) UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF PLACEMENT
COUNSELORS, FACILITATES JOB WORK TRAINING IN THE PRIVATE
SECTOR AND PROVIDES OTHER SPECIALIZED SERVICES FOR
INDIVIDUALS WHO RESIDE IN A GROUP HOME FOR ADULTS WHO HAVE
A PRIMARY DIAGNOSIS AS DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED
INDIVIDUALS; AND

(2) PROVIDES SUPERVISED PLACEMENTS FOR
DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED INDIVIDUALS AND APPROPRIATE SUPPORT
SERVICES TO ENABLE THEM TO ACQUIRE SKILLS APPROPRIATE TO
SUPPORT THEMSELVES INDEPENDENTLY IN THE COMMUNITY.

(B) TO THE EXTENT POSSIBLE, THE GOVERNOR SHALL INCLUDE
IN THE ANNUAL STATE BUDGET FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF DAY
VOCATIONAL PLACEMENT PROGRAMS FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED
INDIVIDUALS.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 2
of this Act shall take effect July 1, 1982, contingent on

the taking effect of Chapters ____ of the Acts of 1982 (H.B.

200 and H.B. 1476) and that, if Section 2 of this Act takes
effect, then Section 1 of this Act shall be null and void
without need for further action by the General Assembly.
However, if Chapters do not become effective, Section 1
of this Act shall take effect July 1, 1982 and Section 2 of
this Act shall be null and void without need for further
action by the General Assembly.

Banking Institutions - Loans to Directors, Officers,
and Employees

FOR the purpose of making applicable to savings banks the
provisions permitting commercial banks to lend money to
their directors, officers, or employees under certain
conditions.

Article - Financial Institutions
Section 3-602 and 4-602
