"committed" is substituted for the reference to a
drug abuser who is "certified to the care and
custody of the Administration", for brevity.

Also in subsection (c)(2) of this section, the
former reference to "the power to establish and
operate" is deleted as. unnecessary in light of
subsection (b) of this section.

Also in subsection (c)(2) of this section, the
former phrase "but not limited to" is deleted as
unnecessary in light of the use of the defined
term "including".

Also in subsection (c)(2) of this section, the
former reference to a "devise or gift" is deleted
as unnecessary in light of the definition of
"gift" in Article 1, § 22 of the Code.

9-403. CERTIFICATION REQUIRED.

INDIVIDUAL WHO SEEKS TREATMENT FOR DRUG ABUSE OR MAY OFFER
TO THE INDIVIDUAL ANY TREATMENT, SERVICE, OR METHOD OF
REHABILITATION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first
sentence of Article 43B, § 19(a).

The defined term "person" is substituted for. the
reference to a "facility, institution,
organization or individual, private".

The former reference to "drug addiction" is
deleted as unnecessary in light of the broad
reference to "drug abuse".
