AN ACT concerning

Prince George's County - Regional Institute
for Children and Adolescents

FOR the purpose of establishing a Regional Institute for
Children and Adolescents in Prince George's County;
providing for certain programs for children and
adolescents; providing that children and adolescents
from Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary's counties may
participate in the program under certain conditions;
and providing that the institute shall be operated
pursuant to certain guidelines.

MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter____ (H.B. 200) of the Acts of the

General Assembly of 1982) read(s) as follows:

(C) (1) THE DEPARTMENTS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND

MENTAL HYGEINE; EDUCATION, AND HUMAN RESOURCES SHALL

ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN PROVIDE FOR A REGIONAL INSTITUTE FOR
CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY . BY
JULY 1, 1983. THIS REGIONAL INSTITUTE SHALL BE A DUPLICATE
OF COMPARABLE TO THE PROGRAM OPERATING AT THE REGIONAL
INSTITUTE FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY.

(2) THE REGIONAL CENTER INSTITUTE IS A
RESIDENTIAL CENTER FOR SEVERELY EMOTIONALLY DISTURBED
CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS.
