Also in subsection (b)(1) of this section, the
former reference to agreements "with public and
private agencies" is deleted as unnecessary.

In subsection (b)(2) of this section, the former
enumeration of specific, staff is deleted as
unnecessary.

In subsection (c)(3) of this section, the former
word "formulate" is deleted as obsolete, since
the State plan has been adopted.

In subsection (c)(5) of this section, the term
"annual budget request" is substituted for
"budget" and the reference to submitting the
request "to the Secretary" is added, to reflect
the authority of the Secretary under § 2-l04(a)
of this article.

In subsection (c)(6) of this section, a
requirement that the Director submit the annual
report is substituted for the ambiguous
requirement that the report "shall be forwarded"
to the Governor and the General Assembly. As
revised, subsection (c)(6) of this section
conforms to similar provisions for submission of
reports elsewhere in this article and to
practice.

Also in subsection (c)(6) of this section, the
former requirement that the annual report "be
made public" is deleted as unnecessary in light
of Article 40, § 53 of. the Code, which provides
for filing of agency reports with libraries in
this State, and Article 76A of the Code, which
generally relates to public records.

In subsection (d)(1) of this section, the former
word "affirmations" is deleted as unnecessary in
light of Article 1, § 9 of the Code, which allows
for affirmations instead of oaths.

Also in subsection (d)(1) of this section, the

former references to "books", "records", and

"documents" are deleted in light of the word
"evidence".
