CHAPTER 817

(Senate Bill 791)

AN ACT concerning

Harford County - Alcoholic Beverages

FOR the purpose of prohibiting in Harford County any person,
club, or organization from knowingly permitting the
consumption, possession, or transfer of alcoholic
beverages in an illegal manner in a certain place under
the control of the person, club, or organization;
providing for exemptions; designating the Sheriff of
Harford County to define the exemptions; providing that
the Liquor Control Board of Harford County shall
designate the exempted places on a case-by-case basis;
and providing penalties for the violation of this Act.

Section 86(j)

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

86.

(J) (1) IN HARFORD COUNTY, A PERSON, CLUB, OR
ORGANIZATION, OR PLACE OF PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT MAY NOT
KNOWINGLY PERMIT THE CONSUMPTION, POSSESSION, OR TRANSFER OF
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN A MANNER PROHIBITED BY THIS ARTICLE
IF:

(I)  THE PERSON, CLUB, OR ORGANIZATION,__OR

PLACE OF PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT IS IN CONTROL OF THE PLACE AS
OWNER, LESSEE, OR USER;

(II)  THE PLACE IS OPEN TO THE GENERAL
PUBLIC OR IS SUBJECT TO LICENSING BY THE STATE OF MARYLAND
OR BY HARFORD COUNTY; AND
