SUBTITLE 1. DEFINITIONS; GENERAL PROVISIONS.

9-101. DEFINITIONS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

IN THIS TITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly appeared as
Article 43B, § 2(a).

The only changes are in style.

(B)  ADMINISTRATION.

"ADMINISTRATION" MEANS THE DRUG ABUSE ADMINISTRATION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly appeared as
Article 43B, § 2(b).

Throughout this title, reference to the Drug
Abuse Administration is substituted for
references to the former Drug Abuse Authority.
Therefore, the part of former Article 43B, § 2(b)
that defined "Authority" to mean the "Drug Abuse
Administration" is deleted as unnecessary.

The former cross-reference "§ 1A of this
article", in which the Administration was
created, is deleted as unnecessary.

The only other changes are in style.

(C)  DIRECTOR.

"DIRECTOR" MEANS THE DIRECTOR OF THE ADMINISTRATION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid repetition of the longer phrase
"Director of the Administration".

Defined term: "Administration" § 9-101

(D)  DRUG.

"DRUG" MEANS A CONTROLLED DANGEROUS SUBSTANCE THAT IS
