(4) SUBMIT TO THE COUNTY OR INTERCOUNTY
ALCOHOLISM ADVISORY COUNCIL AND THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE
COUNTY AN ANNUAL REPORT ON THE COUNTY PROGRAM, INCLUDING AN
ACCOUNT OF EXPENDITURES AND AN ESTIMATE OF ANTICIPATED NEEDS
FOR THE NEXT YEAR;
(5) FACILITATE THE WORK OF THE COUNTY OR
INTERCOUNTY ALCOHOLISM ADVISORY COUNCIL; AND
(6) PERFORM ANY OTHER DUTY NECESSARY TO CARRY
OUT THIS TITLE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Article
2C, § 302(c), as that subsection related to
county programs and facilities, and § 502(d)(2)
through (6) and the second clause of the ninth
sentence of (a).
Throughout this section, the former reference to
"Baltimore City" is deleted as unnecessary in
light of the use of the defined term "health
officer".
In subsection (b)(3)(ii) of this section, the
former phrase "with the approval of the
Secretary" is deleted as unnecessary in light of
the broad power of the Secretary under § 8-203 of
this title.
Former Article 2C, § 502(d)(1), which required
consultation on program components, is deleted as
unnecessary in light of the consultations on all
aspects of the program under subsection (b)(1) of
this section.

8-408. CONTRACTS.
TO CARRY OUT THE PURPOSES OF THIS TITLE, ANY POLITICAL
SUBDIVISION OF THIS STATE MAY CONTRACT WITH ANY APPROPRIATE
PUBLIC OR PRIVATE AGENCY THAT HAS PROPER AND ADEQUATE
TREATMENT FACILITIES, PROGRAMS, AND STAFF.
