FOR the purpose of correcting outdated references to
material included in the Health - General, Health
Environmental, and Health Occupations Articles;
conforming certain terminology to that used in those
articles; substituting references to current positions,
agencies, and other entities for obsolete references to
defunct positions, agencies, and other entities;
deleting an obsolete provision enabling the former
State Department of Health to have certain information
on marriages; deleting an obsolete provision on funding
of the Postmortem Examiners Commission; transferring
certain provisions of Article 42 - Habeas Corpus and
Article 43 - Health, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
to other articles of the Code and to the public local
laws; correcting certain cross-references in the
transferred provisions; making stylistic changes;
subject to a certain contingency, repealing Articles
42, 43, and 44 of the Code, in their entireties; and,
after a certain date, repealing a provision of the
Health - General Article relating to a study to be
completed by that date.
