emphasis.

The word "State" is added to distinguish between
the State Advisory Council and county councils
under § 8-312 of this subtitle and to achieve
uniformity among the names of the entities that
this article governs.

The only other changes are in style.

8-305. MEMBERSHIP.

(A) COMPOSITION; APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS.

(1)  THE STATE ADVISORY COUNCIL CONSISTS OF 24
MEMBERS APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
FEDERAL COMPREHENSIVE ALCOHOL ABUSE AND ALCOHOLISM
PREVENTION, TREATMENT, AND REHABILITATION ACT OF 1970 AND
ANY RULES AND REGULATIONS ADOPTED UNDER IT.

(2)  THE STATE ADVISORY COUNCIL SHALL INCLUDE
REPRESENTATIVES FROM A BROAD RANGE OF AGENCIES AND GROUPS
THAT ARE CONCERNED, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, WITH ALCOHOL
ABUSE AND ALCOHOLISM CONTROL, SUCH AS ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

(I)  COURTS.

(II)  POLICE.

(III)  PROBATION OFFICES.

(IV)  CLERGY.

(V)  LABOR.

(VI)  MANAGEMENT.

(VII)  BEVERAGE CONTROL.

(VIII)  BEVERAGE INDUSTRY.

(IX)  LEGAL PROFESSION.

(X)  MEDICAL PROFESSION.

(XI)  ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS.

(XII) STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT.
