SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

48.

(K) TAXES OVERDUE, IN ARREARS, AND PAYABLE TO ALLEGANY
SHALL BEAR INTEREST AT THE RATE OF 1 1/2 PERCENT FOR EACH
MONTH, OR FRACTION THEREOF, UNTIL PAID.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

AN ACT concerning

Education - State Financial Assistance

FOR the purpose of correcting the description of a certain
figure used in calculating current expense assistance
by the State; changing the name of the term defining
enrollment and of the name of the term expressing the
rate of local contributions; clarifying terminology;
correcting a cross-reference; and relating generally to
the State and county shares of basic current expenses.
