(2) The right of the school official to search
the locker shall be announced or published previously in the
school.

(c) The Department shall adopt rules and regulations
relating to the searches permitted under this section.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

AN ACT concerning

Motor Vehicle Insurance - False Theft Claim

FOR the purpose of prohibiting a person from making
fraudulent claims for motor vehicle theft under certain
insurance policies,- prohibiting a person from aiding
anyone from making certain false claims; and providing
certain penalties.

Section 233A

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 48A - Insurance Code

233A.

(A) A PERSON MAY NOT PRESENT OR AID IN PRESENTING TO
ANY INSURER, OR ANY AGENT OF ANY INSURER FOR THE PURPOSE OF
OBTAINING ANY BENEFITS, ANY CLAIM THAT FALSELY ALLEGES THE
THEFT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE.

(B) A PERSON MAY NOT AID NAY OTHER PERSON WHO VIOLATES
THIS SECTION.
