AN ACT concerning

Kent County Jail Loan of 1981

FOR the purpose of providing construction as an additional
use of the proceeds of the Kent County Jail Loan of
1981.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 646 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1981
Section 1.(3)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Chapter(s) of the Acts of the General
Assembly read(s) as follows:

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:

(3) The actual cash proceeds of the sale of the bonds
shall be paid to the Treasurer and shall be first applied to
the payment of the expenses of issuing and delivering the
bonds unless funds for this purpose are otherwise provided
and thereafter shall be credited on the books of the State
Comptroller and expended, upon approval by the Board of
Public Works, for the following public purposes, including
any applicable architects' and engineers' fees: for
CONSTRUCTION, alteration, enlargement, extension, expansion,
improvement, reconstruction, rehabilitation, renovation, and
repair of the Kent County Jail, including the costs of
acquisition and development of property rights, acquisition
and installation of furnishings and equipment and any
related financial and planning services.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1982.
