Board of Waterworks and
Waste Systems Operators - Membership

FOR the purpose of changing the composition and appointment
of members of the Board of Waterworks and Waste Systems
Operators by providing that the Governor shall appoint
an industrial wastewater works superintendent member
and a member from the Department of Natural Resources.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Health Occupations

Section 20-202(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1981 Volume and 1981 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

20-202.

(a) (1) The Board consists of nine members.

(2) With the advice and consent of the Senate,
the Governor shall appoint[:

(i) Six] 8 members who represent one or
more of the following:

[1.] (I) Municipal government;

[2.] (II) County government;

[3.] (III) A sanitary or a metropolitan
commission;

[4.] (IV) Waterworks supervision;

[5.] (V) Wastewater works or industrial
wastewater works supervision;[and]

[6.] (VI) Agriculture; [and]

(VII)   INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER WORKS
SUPERINTENDENTS; AND

(VIII)  THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES.

[(ii) An engineer from the Department.]
