suspended for 1 year insofar as they impose a time limit for
placing under contract the following project:
For the renovation, restoration, repair, and equipping
of a building located at 801 McCullough Street in Baltimore
City for use as a drama school, art center, and costume
design and scenery workshop.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the project
affected by the Section 1 of this Act is described in this
Act by reference only; and the reference includes the full
description of the project, including any restrictions or
conditions set forth in Chapter 473 of the Acts of 1979.
There is allowed an additional period of 1 year beginning on
the effective date of this Act, for placing the projects
listed in the preceding Section under contract. If the
project is not placed under contract within the 1 year
period, then the project is abandoned. To the extent that
the bond evidencing the portion of the loan authorized by
Chapter 473 of the Acts of 1979 attributable to an abandoned
project is not issued at the end of that 1 year period, the
total bond authorized by the Act, but not yet issued, shall
be reduced by the amount specified for the abandoned
project.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1982.

AN ACT concerning
Merit System - Religious Observance
FOR the purpose of requiring the Secretary of Personnel to
promulgate rules and regulations providing for certain
work schedules so that a State employee can take off
time for religious observance and make up the time;
providing a method for the employee to make up the
time; providing for certain exceptions to this Act; and
defining certain terms.
