SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:
Article - Estates and Trusts
2-106.
(F) THE SESSIONS OF THE COURT IN BALTIMORE COUNTY
SHALL CONTINUE FROM 10 A.M. TO 4 P.M., IF NECESSARY FOR THE
TRANSACTION OF THE BUSINESS OF THE COURT.
2-108.
(e) Each of the judges of the court for Baltimore
County shall receive an annual compensation of [$14,500]
$21,500 $16,500. The Chief Judge shall receive an
additional $500 $1,000 annually.
Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings
2-506.
(a) A bailiff shall receive the compensation provided
in this section. Unless otherwise provided, the amount is a
per diem sum for each day he attends the circuit court.
(4) Baltimore County As set by the court,
EXCEPT THAT THE BAILIFF IN THE ORPHANS' COURT FOR BALTIMORE
COUNTY SHALL RECEIVE AN ANNUAL COMPENSATION OF NOT LESS THAN
$10,000.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section(s)
of the Code of Public Laws of Maryland (as enacted by
Chapter 642 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1977)
read(s) as follows:
Article 3 - Baltimore County
7-39.
The judges of orphans' court may appoint a [baliff]
BAILIFF, who shall attend each sitting of the court and
perform such duties as the court and register of wills
[directs] DIRECT. The [annual salary of the ] bailiff [is
$6000] SHALL RECEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY OF NOT MORE THAN
$7,500.
SECTION 2 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salaries of
the judges and Chief Judge of the Orphans' Court for
Baltimore County in office on the effective date of this
