(a) (1) Except as otherwise provided in this section,
if any individual is examined under a court order by a
representative of the Mental Retardation AND DEVELOPMENTAL
DISABILITIES Administration, the cost of the examination
shall be assumed by this State.
(b) If the examination is requested by the individual
being examined:
(2) The Mental Retardation AND DEVELOPMENTAL
DISABILITIES Administration may ask and the court may
require the individual to post a bond for payment of that
fee.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Subtitle 6
of Title 19 Section(s) 19-601 through 19-608, inclusive, and
the subtitle "Subtitle 6. Nonretarded Developmentally
Disabled Individuals" of Article - Health - General, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland be repealed.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section(s)
of the Annotated Code of Maryland read(s) as follows:

(a) (1) The Governor shall appoint a State Advisory
Council for the Coordination of Services to the Handicapped.
The Council consists of 19 members who are appointed
according to the following scheme:
(ii) One member from the State Department
of Health and Mental Hygiene, selected from a pertinent area
such as the Juvenile Services Administration, the Mental
[Health] HYGIENE Administration, the Mental Retardation AND
DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES Administration, THE Medical Care
Programs Administration, or THE Drug Abuse Administration;
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section(s)
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (as enacted by Chapter 806
of the Acts of the General Assemblyof Assembly of 1980)
read(s) as follows:
