SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 44A - Housing Authorities

8A.

(F) (1) BEFORE SEPTEMBER OCTOBER DECEMBER 1 OF EACH
YEAR, THE HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES COMMISSION SHALL ISSUE AN
ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT FOR THE PREVIOUS FISCAL YEAR BASED
ON A CERTIFIED AUDIT.

(2) A SUMMARY OF THE REPORT SHALL BE PUBLISHED
IN AT LEAST TWO NEWSPAPERS OF GENERAL CIRCULATION IN
MONTGOMERY COUNTY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

AN ACT concerning

Montgomery County - Housing Opportunities

Commission - Budget

MC 261-82

FOR the purpose of requiring the Montgomery County Housing
Opportunities Commission to submit its proposed budget
to the Montgomery County Council for appropriation;
and; providing for public comment on the proposed
budget; and providing for the selection of an
independent public accountant or firm to audit the
Commission's books.
