AN ACT concerning

Montgomery Community College Community Colleges -
Bids and Contracts
MC 246-82

FOR the purpose of increasing in Montgomery County the
dollar threshold of contracts which the board of
trustees of Montgomery Community College are required
to award on a competitive bidding basis; and relating
generally to bids and contracts by Montgomery Community
College.

FOR the purpose of altering the dollar threshold for the
award of certain contracts by community colleges; and

altering a certain exception relating to emergency

repairs.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

16-408.

(a) (1) Except as OTHERWISE provided in [paragraph (2)
of] this subsection, this section applies to every contract
for any building, improvement, equipment, or supplies that
will cost more than $5,000 $7,500.

(2) IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY THIS SECTION APPLIES TO
EVERY CONTRACT FOR ANY BUILDING, IMPROVEMENT, EQUIPMENT OR
