AN ACT concerning

Grain Indemnity Fund - Effective Date

FOR the purpose of delaying the effective date of the Grain
Indemnity Fund (§§ 13-101 through 13-108, inclusive, of
the Agriculture Article) until a certain time; and
providing for the emergency effective date of this Act.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 767 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1981
Section 2

Preamble

The Grain Indemnity Fund was enacted by Chapter 767 of
the Acts of 1981 and is codified in §§ 13-101 through
13-108, inclusive, of the Agriculture Article. Its
effective date was July 1, 1981, but in order to study the
program further, this Act postpones the effective date of
the Grain Indemnity Fund until July 1, 1983; now, therefore,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That chapter(s) of the Acts of the General
Assembly read(s) as follows:

Chapter 767 of the Acts of 1981

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, [1981] 1983.
