(VIII) THE CHESAPEAKE BAY COMMISSION.
130.

(1)   In this subtitle the following words have the
meaning indicated.

(2)  (a) "Municipal Corporation" means a county,
incorporated town, or municipality or special taxing area,
or any other political subdivision of the State.

(b)   "Municipal corporation" includes any public
library association or organization, any fire department
that receives part or all of its funds from or through any
county, town, municipality, special taxing area, or other
political subdivision of the State, and any board or
commission created by an act of the General Assembly for
public purpose and not for the profit of any private person
or corporation. If a municipal corporation ceases to meet
the definition of "municipal corporation" because of any
public general or public local law, any of its employees who
have been a member of this pension system may continue
membership in this system at the employee's election if the
employer's contribution, as required herein, continues to be
made under this subtitle.

(c)  To participate in this pension system the
following entities shall be considered to be a municipal
corporation:

(i) The Interstate Commission on the
Potomac River Basin;

(ii) A cooperative library commission;

(iii) The Upper Potomac River Commission;

(iv) The Tri-County Council for Western
Maryland, Inc.;

(v) The Allegany County Transit Authority;

(vi) The Health Planning Council of
Appalachia; [and]

(vii) The St. Mary's County Nursing
Home[.]; AND

(VIII) THE CHESAPEAKE BAY COMMISSION.
