Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

Section 139(c) and 399(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1976 Replacement Volume and 1981 Supplement)

(As enacted by Chapter ___(H.B. 200) of the Acts

of the General Assembly of 1982)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter____ (H.B. 200) of the Acts of the

General Assembly of 1982) read(s) as follows:

Article - Health - General

7-602.

(h) (2) Subject to any reasonable limitation that a
facility imposes, a mentally retarded individual shall have
[available] ACCESS TO writing instruments, stationery, and
postage and may use them to write to anyone.

9-631.

A petition under [this section] § 9-630 OF THIS
SUBTITLE shall:

(1) Be signed and verified by the petitioner;

(2) Unless the petitioner is the alleged drug
addict, state the petitioner's:

(i) Name;

(ii) Title;

(iii) Address; and

(iv) Relationship to the alleged drug
addict;
