(1)  The term of the member appointed on June 1, 1981
is extended to and shall expire on May 31, 1986;

(2)  The term of the member appointed on June 1, 1982
shall expire on May 31, 1987;

(3)  The term of 1 member appointed on June 1, 1983
shall expire on May 31, 1988;

(4)  The term of 1 member appointed on June 1, 1983
shall expire on May 31, 1984; this member may be
reappointed for an additional 5 year term;

(5)  The term of 1 member appointed June 1, 1983 shall
expire on May 31, 1985; this member may be reappointed for
an additional 5 year term.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
consumer member who was appointed on July 1, 1980 will serve
until June 30, 1983. The consumer member who will be
appointed on July 1, 1983 will serve until June 30, 1988.

SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1982.

(House Bill 421)

AN ACT concerning

State Board of Examiners in Optometry

FOR the purpose of enabling the State Board of Examiners in
Optometry to adopt certain rules and regulations;
adding certain disciplinary grounds in the practice of
optometry; authorizing the Board, in connection with
disciplinary charges, to require a licensee to submit

to certain examinations physical or mental

examinations; requiring a licensee to perform a minimum
optometric examination, maintain certain records, and
have on hand certain instrumentation and equipment;
providing for certain consent and waiver provisions;
providing that failure or refusal of a licensee to take
the required examination establishes prima facie
evidence against the licensee with certain exceptions;
and requiring the Board to pay for the examination;
