The Board of Podiatry Examiners - Term of Office

FOR the purpose of altering the terms of the members of the
Board of Podiatry Examiners; and generally relating to
the appointment of those members.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Health Occupations
Section 15-202(g)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1981 Volume and 1981 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

15-202.

(g) (1) The term of a member is [3] 5 years.

(2)  The terms of the members are staggered as
required by the terms provided for members of the Board on
July 1, 1981.

(3)  At the end of a term, a member continues to
serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies.

(4)  A member who is appointed after a term has
begun serves only for the rest of the term and until a
successor is appointed and qualifies.

(5)  A member may not serve more than two
consecutive full terms.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the terms
of the present podiatrist members expire as follows:

(1)  The term of the member appointed on June 1, 1979
expires on May 31, 1982;

(2)  The term of the 3 members appointed on June 1,
1980 expires on May 31, 1983;

(3)  The term of the member appointed on June 1, 1981
expires on May 31, 1984.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the terms
of the podiatrist members appointed on or after June 1, 1981
shall be as follows:
