HARRY HUGHES, Governor

273

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsections (a)(1) and (2)(i), (iii),
(iv), (v), and (vi) and (b) of this section are
new language derived without substantive change
from former Article 52A, § 11.

Subsection (a)(2)(ii) of this section is new
language added to reflect practice.

In subsection (a)(1) of this section, the former
limitation "within the annual budgetary
appropriations therefor" is deleted as
unnecessary in light of Article 15A, § 14 of the
Code, which prohibits expenditures in excess of
appropriations.

Also in subsection (a)(1) of this section, the
former reference "maintain" is deleted as
unnecessary in light of the broad reference to
"operate".

In the introductory phrase of subsection (a)(2)
of this section, the former phrase "but not
limited to" is deleted as unnecessary in light of
the definition of "includes"/"including".

In subsection (a)(2)(iv) of this section, the
former phrase "for Girls" is deleted since the
Montrose School is now coeducational.

In subsection (a)(2)(vi) of this section, the
phrase "youth centers" is substituted for the
reference to the "forestry camps", to conform to
the current terminology of the Administration.

In subsection (b) of this section, the former

references to Baltimore City are deleted as

unnecessary in light of the use of the defined
term "county"..

Also in subsection (b) of this section, reference
to a "bond issue" is substituted for "bond
issued", to conform to Ch. 559, Acts of 1973. In
Ch. 327, Acts of 1974, which amended former
Article 52A, § 11 to delete a school, the section
was set out with the words "bond issued". Since
this change was not shown as an amendment and
since the General Assembly does not issue bonds,
the original wording is reinstated in subsection
(b) of this section.

Defined terms: "Administration" § 6-101
"County" § 1-101 "Includes"/"including" § 1-101

6-117. SAME -- MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL.
