THE ADMINISTRATION MAY:

(1)  ACCEPT, MANAGE, AND DISPOSE OF FEDERAL FUNDS
AND COMMODITIES; AND

(2)  TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ANY AVAILABLE FEDERAL
PROGRAM OR GRANT-IN-AID OR OTHER PUBLIC OR PRIVATE
ASSISTANCE THAT ACCOMPLISHES OR FURTHERS THE OBJECTIVES OF
THIS SUBTITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section formerly appeared as
Article 52A, § 9.

In item (1) of this section, the former phrase
"in whatever manner may be required by federal
law" is deleted as unnecessary.

6-116. STATE FACILITIES — ESTABLISHMENT AND OPERATION.

(A)  FACILITIES AUTHORIZED.

(1)  THE ADMINISTRATION MAY ESTABLISH AND OPERATE
THE FACILITIES THAT ARE NECESSARY TO DIAGNOSE, CARE FOR,
TRAIN, EDUCATE, AND REHABILITATE PROPERLY CHILDREN WHO NEED
THESE SERVICES.

(2)  THESE FACILITIES INCLUDE:

(I)  THE MARYLAND TRAINING SCHOOL FOR BOYS;

(II)  THE ALFRED D. NOYES CHILDREN'S
CENTER;

(III)  THE BOYS' VILLAGE OF MARYLAND;

(IV)  THE MONTROSE SCHOOL;

(V)  THE THOMAS J. S. WAXTER CHILDREN'S
CENTER; AND

(VI)  THE YOUTH CENTERS.

(B)  BOND REQUESTS.

BEFORE THE ADMINISTRATION ASKS THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY FOR
A BOND ISSUE TO BUILD OR RENOVATE A FACILITY, THE
ADMINISTRATION SHALL CONSULT ON THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OR
RENOVATION PLANS WITH THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE COUNTY WHERE
THE FACILITY IS TO BE BUILT OR RENOVATED AND WITH THE
GOVERNING BODY OF EACH COUNTY TO BE SERVED.
