6-109. GENERAL FUNCTIONS OF ADMINISTRATION.

(A)  CENTRAL ADMINISTRATIVE AGENCY.

THE ADMINISTRATION IS THE CENTRAL ADMINISTRATIVE AGENCY
FOR:

(1)  JUVENILE INTAKE, DETENTION AUTHORIZATION,
INVESTIGATION, PROBATION, PROTECTIVE SUPERVISION, AND
AFTERCARE SERVICES; AND

(2)  THE STATE JUVENILE, DIAGNOSTIC, TRAINING,
DETENTION, AND REHABILITATION INSTITUTIONS.

(B)  PROGRAMS FOR PREDELINQUENT CHILD.

THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL DEVELOP PROGRAMS FOR THE
PREDELINQUENT CHILD WHOSE BEHAVIOR TENDS TO LEAD TO CONTACT
WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES.

(C)  PROGRAMS NOT TO BE ADMINISTERED.

THE ADMINISTRATION MAY NOT ADMINISTER ANY CHILD WELFARE
PROGRAM OF THE STATE SOCIAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION,
INCLUDING THE AID TO FAMILIES WITH DEPENDENT CHILDREN
PROGRAM AND THE FOSTER CARE PROGRAM.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section formerly appeared as
Article 52A, § 5(d) and the first and second
sentences of (a).

In subsection (c) of this section, the reference
to the "State Social Services Administration" is
substituted for the obsolete reference to the
"State Department of Social Services."
