Commission shall allot available burial plots, at a site
closest to the veteran's home, on a first come first served
basis. There shall be no charge made for any burial plot and
the interment provided to any eligible veteran.

[(e)] (F) Any member of the immediate family of a
veteran who qualifies for burial as provided in subsection
[(c)] (D) of this section may also qualify for burial in a
state veterans' cemetery, if the interment of the family
member is in the same burial plot as that provided for the
veteran, and the interment is either above or below the
veteran. The Maryland Veterans Commission may establish a
fee for burial of family members, not to exceed the actual
cost of the interment. The Veterans Commission may accept
the social security burial allowance in the amount not to
exceed the actual cost of the interment.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

(Senate Bill 418)

AN ACT concerning

Continuing Care Contracts - Refunds and Inspections

FOR the purpose of allowing a continuing care or life care
facility to retain a processing fee, approved by the
Office on Aging, in the event of cancellation or
recession of a continuing care agreement under certain
circumstances; defining a certain term; providing
specific refund provisions concerning the cancellation
or recision of certain contracts; providing that a
subscriber may elect to rescind a continuing care
agreement which violates certain laws and establishes a
certain refund if a subscriber elects to rescind under
that circumstance; repealing provisions of law
providing that any continuing care contract riot
containing provisions required by statute shall be null
and void; and providing for coordination of inspections
of certain facilities by the Office on Aging with the
Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; providing that
this Act shall take effect on a certain date; and
generally relating to continuing care contracts.
