and submit a report to the General Assembly by a
certain date.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

17-502.

Subject to the evaluation and reestablishment
provisions of the Regulatory Programs Evaluation Act of
1978, the provisions of this title and of any rule or
regulation adopted under this title shall terminate and be
of no effect after July 1, [1983] 1989 1984.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the State
Board of Sanitarian Registration shall develop proposals to
strengthen the existing Registration Act, and at the
beginning of the 1983 Session of the General Assembly shall
report back to the General Assembly on the Board's proposals
and accomplishments. At that time, the Board shall be
reevaluated and a recommendation to continue or terminate
the Board shall be made.

SECTION -2- 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Act shall take effect July 1, 1982.
