HAS FILED WITH THE BOARD AN APPROVED BOND WHICH IS IN FULL
FORCE AND EFFECT AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 3-7 OF THIS
SUBTITLE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety
and having been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT concerning

Handgun Permit Review Board -
Review of Record or Hearing

FOR the purpose of changing the time within which the
Handgun Permit Review Board must either review the
record or conduct a hearing upon a request for review
of a final decision of the Superintendent of the
Maryland State Police relating to permits; providing
that the Board may receive additional evidence in
conducting its review; and making certain style and
wording changes.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

36E.

(g) (i) There is created a Handgun Permit Review Board
as a separate agency within the Department of Public Safety
and Correctional Services. The Board shall consist of five
