(B) OFFICERS.

(1)  FROM AMONG ITS MEMBERS, THE BOARD EVERY 2
YEARS SHALL ELECT A CHAIRMAN AND A VICE CHAIRMAN.

(2)  THE MANNER OF ELECTION OF OFFICERS SHALL BE
AS THE BOARD DETERMINES.

(3)  THE VICE CHAIRMAN SHALL ACT AS CHAIRMAN WHEN
THE CHAIRMAN IS ABSENT OR CANNOT ACT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language derived without substantive change from
the second sentence of former Article 43, §
158(a).

Subsection (b)(1) and (3) of this section is new
language derived without substantive change from
the first sentence of former Article 43, §
158(b), as that sentence related to officers.

Subsection (b)(2) of this section is new language
added to clarify the manner of election for
officers of the Board.

The third sentence of former Article 43, §
158(a), which provided for periodic reports to
the Secretary, is deleted as unnecessary in light
of § 2-104(g) of this article.

5-404. MEETINGS; COMPENSATION.

(A)  MEETINGS.

THE BOARD SHALL DETERMINE THE TIMES AND PLACES OF ITS
MEETINGS.

(B)  COMPENSATION.

A MEMBER OF THE BOARD:

(1)  MAY NOT RECEIVE COMPENSATION; BUT

(2)  IS ENTITLED TO REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES
UNDER THE STANDARD STATE TRAVEL REGULATIONS, AS PROVIDED IN
THE STATE BUDGET.

Subsection (b) of this section is new language
derived without substantive change from the first
clause of the first sentence and the entire
