Ch. 21

(B)  BOARD.

"BOARD" MEANS THE STATE ANATOMY BOARD.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid repetition of the full title "State
Anatomy Board".

(C)  PUBLIC OFFICER.

"PUBLIC OFFICER" MEANS AN OFFICER OF THIS STATE OR OF A
COUNTY OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THIS STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid repetition of phrases such as "public
officer of the State, of Baltimore City or of any
county or other political subdivision of the
State".

Defined term: "County" § 1-101

5-402. BOARD ESTABLISHED.

THERE IS A STATE ANATOMY BOARD IN THE DEPARTMENT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first
sentence of former Article 43, § 158(a).

It is set forth as a separate section for
emphasis.

The word "Maryland" is deleted from the Board
title to avoid the use of the duplicative terms
"Maryland" and "State" and to correspond with
other entity designations used in this article.

Defined term: "Department" § 1-101

5-403. MEMBERSHIP; OFFICERS.

(A) COMPOSITION; APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS.

(1)  THE BOARD CONSISTS OF:
