HARRY HUGHES, Governor

2469

A LICENSE AUTHORIZES THE LICENSEE TO ENGAGE IN BUSINESS
AS A DISINFECTOR, IMPORTER, MANUFACTURER, RENOVATOR, SUPPLY
DEALER, OR WHOLESALER WHILE THE LICENSE IS EFFECTIVE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is a standard provision
added for clarity.

11-411. TERM AND RENEWAL OF LICENSES.

(A)  TERM OF LICENSE.

A LICENSE EXPIRES ON THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE LICENSE, UNLESS THE LICENSE IS RENEWED
FOR A 1-YEAR TERM AS PROVIDED IN THIS SECTION.

(B)  APPLICATIONS FOR RENEWAL.

BEFORE THE LICENSE EXPIRES, THE LICENSEE PERIODICALLY
MAY RENEW IT FOR AN ADDITIONAL 1-YEAR TERM, IF THE LICENSEE:

(1) OTHERWISE IS ENTITLED TO BE LICENSED;

(2) PAYS TO THE DEPARTMENT A RENEWAL FEE OF $50;
AND

(3) SUBMITS TO THE DEPARTMENT A RENEWAL
APPLICATION ON THE FORM THAT THE DEPARTMENT REQUIRES.

(C)  ISSUANCE OF RENEWAL.

THE DEPARTMENT SHALL RENEW THE LICENSE OF EACH LICENSEE
WHO MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsections (a) and (b) of this section
are new language derived without substantive
change from the first sentence of former Article
43, § 67E(a).

Subsection (c) of this section is new language
added to this and, where applicable, similar
licensing provisions throughout this article.

The former reference to a "permit" is deleted as
unnecessary in light of the definition of
"license" in § 11-401 of this subtitle.

Former Article 43, § 67E(b), which dealt with a
grace period for late filing, is deleted to
conform to the other licensing provisions of this
article and to alleviate the problem of the
former ambiguous reference to "further
penalties". The attention of the General
Assembly is called to this deletion.

11-412. SEPARATE LICENSE FOR EACH NAME.
