(D) DATING CONTAINERS.

DRINKING WATER PACKAGED AND SOLD IN THIS STATE IN
INDIVIDUAL CONTAINERS MADE OF PAPER OR PLASTIC-COATED PAPER
SHALL BE MARKED WITH A STENCIL OR STAMP CLEARLY INDICATING
THE MONTH AND DAY THE WATER WAS PLACED IN THE CONTAINER.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section formerly appeared as
Article 43, § 400.

Throughout this section, "drinking water" is
substituted for "potable water", for clarity and
simplicity.

The only other changes are in style.

9-221. ICE FOR DOMESTIC PURPOSES.

(A)  PERMIT REQUIRED.

NO NEW SOURCE OF ICE SUPPLY, EITHER NATURAL OR
ARTIFICIAL, MAY BE USED FOR FURNISHING ICE TO THE PUBLIC FOR
DOMESTIC PURPOSES UNLESS THE SOURCE IS APPROVED BY THE
SECRETARY AND A PERMIT IS ISSUED BY THE SECRETARY FOR THE
HARVESTING OR MANUFACTURE, AND THE SALE, OF ICE FROM THAT
SOURCE.

(B)  STORAGE AND HANDLING OF ICE.

NO ICE MAY BE STORED IN AN UNCLEAN PLACE, HANDLED IN AN
UNCLEAN MANNER, OR BROUGHT INTO CONTACT WITH POLLUTED WATER.

(C)  RULES AND REGULATIONS.

THE SECRETARY MAY MAKE AND ENFORCE RULES AND
REGULATIONS REGARDING THE SELECTION AND CARE OF SOURCES OF
ICE SUPPLY AND THE METHODS EMPLOYED IN HARVESTING,
MANUFACTURING, STORING, AND HANDLING ICE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section formerly appeared as
Article 43, § 401.

The former reference to April 16, 1914, is
deleted as obsolete.

The only other changes are in style.
