GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE:

In this subtitle, the subtitle caption "Child Resistant
Packaging of Dangerous Household Substances" is substituted
for the former subtitle caption "Maryland Poison Prevention
Packaging Act" to avoid confusion with other laws that are
related to poisons, e.g., one that requires that a poison
must be labeled conspicuously with that term.

The attention of the General Assembly is called to the
fact that there is no penalty for violating this subtitle.

TITLE 6. TOXIC, CARCINOGENIC, AND FLAMMABLE SUBSTANCES.

SUBTITLE 1. COUNCIL ON TOXIC SUBSTANCES.

6-101. "COUNCIL" DEFINED.

IN THIS SUBTITLE, "COUNCIL" MEANS THE COUNCIL ON TOXIC
SUBSTANCES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Article
43, § 813A(a) and (b).

Former Article 43, § 813A(c), which defined
"Secretary", is deleted as unnecessary in light
of the definition of "Secretary" in § 1-101 of
this article.

See also § 1-101 of this article for other
applicable definitions.

6-102. COUNCIL ESTABLISHED.

THERE IS A COUNCIL ON TOXIC SUBSTANCES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first clause
of the first sentence of former Article 43, §
813B(a), as that clause related to establishment
of the Council.

6-103. MEMBERSHIP.

(A) COMPOSITION; APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS.

(1)  THE COUNCIL CONSISTS OF 25 MEMBERS.

(2)  OF THE 25 MEMBERS:

(I) 1 SHALL BE A MEMBER OF THE SENATE,
APPOINTED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE;
