LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 240

§ 285 — revised as § 4-1107(e) of this subtitle
is one as to which the General Assembly
clearly did not intend an exception for the
enumerated persons. The attention of the General
Assembly is called to this revision.

Also in subsection (b) of this section, the
reference to § 4-1107{a) of this subtitle is new
language added for clarity.

4-1106. REQUIRED RECORDS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

EXCEPT FOR A CARRIER OR A PRACTITIONER, ANY PERSON IN
ANY CLASS LISTED IN SUBSECTION 4-1105(B) OF THIS SUBTITLE
SHALL KEEP COMPLETE RECORDS OF:

(1)  ALL STOCKS OF BARBITURATES ON HAND; AND

(2)  ALL RECEIPTS OR DELIVERIES OF BARBITURATES
BY THAT PERSON OR THAT PERSON'S AGENTS OR EMPLOYEES.

(B)  PRACTITIONER'S RECORDS.

EACH PRACTITIONER SHALL KEEP COMPLETE RECORDS OF:

(1)  ALL STOCKS OF BARBITURATES ON HAND;

(2)  ALL RECEIPTS OF BARBITURATES BY THE
PRACTITIONER OR THE PRACTITIONER'S AGENTS OR EMPLOYEES; AND

(3)  EACH BARBITURATE DISPENSED AND ADMINISTERED
BY THE PRACTITIONER BY:

(I)  NAME AND QUANTITY OF THE BARBITURATE;

(II)  DATE ON WHICH THE BARBITURATE WAS
DISPENSED OR ADMINISTERED; AND

(III)  NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE PATIENT AND,
IF THE BARBITURATE WAS PRESCRIBED FOR OR ADMINISTERED TO AN
ANIMAL, SPECIES OF THE ANIMAL.

(C)  PHARMACIST'S RECORDS.
EACH PHARMACIST SHALL:

(1) KEEP COMPLETE RECORDS SHOWING:

(I) ALL STOCKS OF BARBITURATES ON HAND;
AND

(II) ALL RECEIPTS OF BARBITURATES BY THE
PHARMACIST OR THE PHARMACIST'S AGENTS OR EMPLOYEES;
