(5) The deputy State's attorneys and the
assistant State's attorneys shall have the same legal powers
as the State's Attorney to represent the State before grand
juries and in the trial of criminal proceedings.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of the
Baltimore County State's Attorney in office on the effective
date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning
the salary of the Baltimore County State's Attorney shall
take effect at the beginning of the next following term of
office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

Frederick County - Bingo

FOR the purpose of altering the amount of a fee for a bingo
permit and the maximum value of a bingo prize or award
in Frederick County; repealing a limit on the maximum
charge to play bingo in Frederick County; and making
this Act an emergency measure.
