Ch. 217

13-404.

(a)  (1) In this section the following words have the
meanings indicated.

(2)  "County government" means the board of
county commissioners or the county council of a county or
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, as the case may be.

(3)  "County treasurer" means, as to a county for
which there is no office of treasurer, the tax collector for
that county.

(b) (1) This section does not apply to:

(i) Baltimore County;

(ii) Howard County; or

(iii) Talbot County.

(2) Whether or not this section applies to any
of the following counties shall be decided by appropriate
resolution of its county government:

(i) Carroll County;

(ii) Dorchester County;

(iii) Frederick County;

(iv) Prince George's County;

(v) Washington County;

(vi) Wicomico County; and

(vii) Worcester County.

(c) (1) The county treasurer of each county in this
State shall act as the agent of the Administration in the
registration of vehicles and in the issuance of registration
plates and registration cards for the following classes of
vehicles:

(i) Class D (motorcycles);

(ii) Class E (trucks);

(iii) Class F (tractors); and

(iv) Class G (trailers).

(2) At the end of each week, the county
treasurer shall remit to the Administration:
