SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 10 - Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact

40.

(r) (2) The State's Attorney may appoint one OR MORE
assistant State's [attorney] ATTORNEYS with the approval of
the County Commissioners. The salary of the assistant
State's attorney shall be $12,000 The COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
SHALL SET THE ANNUAL salary of the assistant State's
[attorney] ATTORNEYS [shall be $12,000]. HOWEVER, THE SALARY
SHALL BE AT LEAST $12,000.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

Vehicle Registration - Queen Anne's County Treasurer

FOR the purpose of requiring certain vehicle registration
fees collected by the Queen Anne's County Treasurer to
be paid to the Queen Anne's County government, placed
in a certain general fund, and used in a certain
manner; and providing for a delayed effective date.
