SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act

AN ACT concerning
Harford County Battered Spouse and Domestic
Violence Programs - Funding - Marriage License Fees
FOR the purpose of imposing authorizing an additional fee
for the issuance of marriage licenses in Harford
County; providing that the net proceeds of the
additional fee, in addition to designated federal,
State, and county funds, be used to fund battered
spouse and domestic violence programs in Harford
County; providing for a report; clarifying language;
and generally relating to the disposition of the
proceeds from an additional marriage license fee in
Harford County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:
Article 62 - Marriages
14A. 14.
(A) When one or both parties are residents of the
State of Maryland, the clerk of the court shall receive two
dollars for every license issued as aforesaid and for the
performance of the other duties required by this article;
where both parties are nonresidents of the State of
Maryland, the said clerk shall receive three dollars for
every license so issued.
