AN ACT concerning
Animals - Abandonment - Kennel
Commercial Boarding Kennel Operators
FOR the purpose of giving a kennel commercial boarding
kennel operator the same rights that a veterinarian has
as to selling or turning an abandoned animal over to an
animal welfare agency or responsible private
individual; allowing a kennel commercial boarding
kenne1 operator to sell or turn an abandoned animal
over to an animal welfare agency or responsible private
individual; requiring certain notice to the owner of
the animal; altering certain notice requirements as to
posting and publication; relieving the kennel
commercial boarding kennel operator, veterinarian, and
any custodian to whom an abandoned animal is given of
certain liability on giving notice, as provided in this
Act; providing for the application of proceeds and
cumulative remedies of kennel commercial boarding
kennel operators under this Act; and making stylistic
changes.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 16-701 to be under the amended subtitle
"Subtitle 7. Veterinarian's and Kennel
Commercial Boarding Kennel Operator's Rights"
