(ii) To use the figures and special age
group projections that the Department of State Planning
prepares annually for the State agency.

(c) Information.

In addition to information that an applicant for a
certificate of need must provide, the State agency may
request, collect, and report any statistical or other
information that:

(1)   Is needed by the State agency to perform its
duties under the Federal Act; and

(2)   Is described in rules and regulations of the
State agency.]

(a)  Council established.

There is a Statewide Health Coordinating Council. The
Council is in the Department for budgetary purposes only.

(b)  Appointment.

The Governor shall appoint the members of the Council
in accordance with the Federal Act.

(c)  General powers and duties.

(1)  The Council may accept federal and other
funds that are available to carry out Part I of this
subtitle.

(2)   In addition to the duties set forth
elsewhere in Part I of this subtitle or in the Federal Act,
the Council shall:

(i) Advise the State agency on carrying
out its duties under Part I of this subtitle and the Federal
Act; and

(ii) As required by Part I of this
subtitle and the Federal Act, coordinate its activities with
the State agency.

(d)  Action on 5-year plan by Council.

(1) As early as possible but at least 20 days
before the Secretary submits to the Governor the annual
revision of the Department's 5-year plan, the Secretary
shall submit the program and budgetary priorities proposals
in the plan to the Council for review and comment.
