AN ACT concerning

Washington County - Board of Education - Salaries

FOR the purpose of altering the salaries of the president
and members of the Washington County Board of
Education; repealing certain provisions of law relating
to expenses for the members; and providing this Act
does not affect incumbents.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article - Education

3-1002.

[(a)] The president of the County Board is entitled to
receive [$1,400] $2,600 annually as compensation and the
other members are entitled to receive [$1,200] $2,500 each
annually as compensation. This compensation is to be paid
in 12 equal monthly installments.

[(b) After submitting vouchers, members shall be
reimbursed for travel and other expenses within the limit
set by the Washington County Commissioners.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of the
County Board of Education of Washington County in office on
the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this
Act concerning the salary of the County Board of Education
of Washington County shall take effect at the beginning of
the next following term of office.
