AN ACT concerning

Queen Anne's County - County Treasurer
Surety Bonds

FOR the purpose of altering the amount of the County
Treasurer's surety bonds in Queen Anne's County from a
designated amount to a certain minimum level.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 6-5

Article 18 - Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1974 Edition, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland read(s) as follows:

Article 18 - Queen Anne's County

6-5.

Before entering upon the duties of said respective
offices, the Deputy County Treasurer and Assistant Deputy
County Treasurer shall give bond to the Treasurer of Queen
Anne's County in the penal sum of [five thousand dollars
($5,000.00)] NOT LESS THAN $5,000 and with . such surety as
the County Treasurer shall approve, conditioned for the
faithful performance of all duties of said office and honest
accounting for all money that may come into his hands in his
official capacity; the expense of which shall be borne by
the County and shall be recorded in the office of the Clerk
of the Circuit Court for said County.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.
