AN ACT concerning

St. Mary's County - Inspectors

FOR the purpose of repealing certain provisions relating to
the County Inspector of St. Mary's County; and
providing that certain inspections of taxicabs shall be
performed by the office of County Sheriff of St. Mary's
County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 133-2

The Public Local Laws of St. Mary's County

Section 63-1, 63-2, and 63-3

Article 19 - Public Local Laws of Maryland

(1979 Edition, supplemented to

December, 1980, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:

Article 19 - St. Mary's County

[63-1.

There is established the office of County Inspector of
St. Mary's County. The County Inspector shall be appointed
by the County Commissioners, serve at their pleasure and
receive such compensation as the County Commissioners shall
determine. He shall be a full-time employee of the county.
The County Inspector may appoint, with the approval of the
County Commissioners, such assistants as may, be required.,
The County Commissioners shall provide the County Inspector
with sufficient office space, necessary supplies and
equipment.]

[63-2.

The County Inspector shall maintain complete and
accurate records of the business of his office and shall
keep a full and detailed account of all moneys received,
disbursed or otherwise handled by the office of County
Inspector. He shall submit annually to the County
Commissioners a written report covering the activities of
the office and such other reports as the Commissioners may
from time to time require.]
