AN ACT concerning

Water and Sewerage

FOR the purpose of making technical changes in certain
definitions relating to the regulation of public water
supplies and sewerage and solid waste disposal systems.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 387C(a)2., 5., and 7.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 43 - Health

387C.

(a) As used in this subsection:

2. "Community sewerage system" means any system,
whether publicly or privately owned, serving two or more
individual lots for the collection and disposal of
[sewerage] SEWAGE or industrial wastes of a liquid nature,
including various devices for the treatment of such sewage
and industrial wastes.

5. "Multiuse water supply system" means a single
system of piping, pumps, tanks, or other facilities
utilizing a source of ground or surface water to supply a
group of individuals on a single lot and having a capacity
in excess of [1500 HPD] 5,000 GPD.

7. "Individual sewerage system" means a single
system of sewers and piping, treatment tanks, or other
facilities serving only a single lot and disposing of sewage
or [individual] INDUSTRIAL wastes of a liquid nature, in
