In subsection (g) of this section, the word
"authorized" is substituted for "approved", for
clarity.

The reference in present Art. 43, § 794(a) to the
power of the Board to designate examiners is
deleted as unnecessary in light of the broad
provisions of this section.

2-305. WAIVER OF REQUIREMENTS.

(A)  GENERAL REQUIREMENTS.

THE BOARD MAY WAIVE ANY OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
FOR A LICENSE UNDER THIS TITLE FOR AN INDIVIDUAL WHO:

(1)  IS OF GOOD MORAL CHARACTER;

(2)  PAYS THE APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED BY THE
BOARD UNDER § 2-303 OF THIS SUBTITLE; AND

(3) (I) HOLDS THE CERTIFICATE OF CLINICAL
COMPETENCE IN AUDIOLOGY OF THE AMERICAN SPEECH AND HEARING
ASSOCIATION; OR

(II) WAS ENGAGED ACTIVELY IN THE PRACTICE
OF AUDIOLOGY IN THIS STATE ON JULY 1, 1972.

(B)  WAIVER OF EXAMINATIONS.

THE BOARD MAY WAIVE ANY EXAMINATION REQUIREMENT OF THIS
SUBTITLE FOR AN APPLICANT WHO:

(1)  PAYS THE APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED BY THE
BOARD UNDER § 2-303 OF THIS SUBTITLE; AND

(2)  PROVIDES ADEQUATE EVIDENCE THAT THE
APPLICANT:

(I)  MEETS THE QUALIFICATIONS OTHERWISE
REQUIRED BY THIS TITLE; AND

(II)  BECAME LICENSED IN THE OTHER STATE
AFTER MEETING IN THAT OR ANY OTHER STATE REQUIREMENTS THAT
ARE AT LEAST EQUIVALENT TO THE LICENSING REQUIREMENTS OF
THIS STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §§
793(b) and 795(b).

Subsection (b)(1) and (2)(i) of this section is
standard language added to conform to the
language used throughout this article for
provisions that allow or require waiver of
examination requirements.
